House Azzurrina Mare is located in the historic centre of Seccheto, a small, authentic village on the south coast of Elba Island, 200 metres from the beach and not far from the two Caribbean-like beaches of Cavoli and Fetovaia. The house (consisting of only two very spacious apartments) is situated in a panoramic position overlooking the sea. It was completely renovated in 2024/25 with great care and using only Mediterranean materials.
House Azzurrina Mare consists of a large, bright living room with a fully equipped kitchen island, a sofa area (2 comfortable sofa beds), 3 bedrooms (each with 2 beds), 3 bathrooms with toilet and shower, and two surrounding terraces with sea views. One terrace is covered and is suitable for outdoor dining at any time of day, while another terrace faces south, where it is pleasantly warm even in the colder months. Air conditioning and Wi-Fi in all rooms.
Two parking spaces are available for our guests nearby. Seccheto offers two grocery stores, a bakery, two bars, several restaurants, a pharmacy, a newsagent and a beautiful sandy beach with adjacent shallow bathing rocks.
A milanese architectural firm was commissioned to carry out the renovation work. Emphasis was placed on sustainability: electricity is produced using photovoltaics; the exterior walls were insulated against heat and cold using modern insulation materials; the roof is ventilated and complies with the latest EU standards; and the large windows not only allow plenty of light into the rooms, but also protect against heat, cold and noise.
Only natural materials were used for the interior design: from the natural stone tiles made from compressed stone residues (‘pietra compattata’) and the wooden ceilings to the use of linen, cotton and jute for other furnishings. All materials were inspired in colour and form by the character of the island, where the sea, wind, sand and Mediterranean scrub are the predominant elements.
