Description
The Boutique Hotel Ilio is built on the old wine cellar where Ilio Testa produced his typical “Elba red” and “Elba white” wines. Ilio’s grandson, Maurizio, followed in his father Giuseppe’s footsteps – he opened the hotel in 1959 – creating the first and only boutique hotel on the island of Elba: a few charming rooms, a close-knit atmosphere, friendly hospitality and made to measure.
The Boutique Hotel Ilio is located in Capo Sant’Andrea, on the north-western tip of the island – the most unspoilt and wild area. The hotel is spread out, with a central building with panoramic terrace, from where narrow natural paths leading to the 20 rooms located in typical and independent structures lead to and from where the “open air living room” can be accessed.
Every room is different, based on a different personality, and there are four different styles to choose from: Mediterranean (for those who want to be surrounded by the sea of colour on the island, those of the sand, sky and land), Contemporary (for the sporty who also like their comforts), Tuscany (for the more romantic) and Essential, with a linear design ideal for those who want to relax and forget about everything superfluous.
Again with the intent of ensuring an exclusive stay, the hotel has a personal manager service to enjoy your experience as a local, discovering the hidden beauty of the island and using the multitude of services which enable you to enjoy your holiday.
